China Sales Co founder Robbie Burns stated: "It is very interesting how China's highly competitive and willing social media cauldron is now producing advanced platforms and technologies to the market that are in many ways years ahead of Silicon Valley. Mobile wallet transactions are now everyday experience for mainland Chinese whereas they are very much green fields in the USA. Also, clearly global We Chat user uptake is not slowing down. It is now looking almost certain that
We Chat will-eclipse Facebook as the world's most popular Social Media platform either this year (2015) or mid 2016. Furthermore it is already well engaged with monetizing it's giant user base by giving them more useful options, rather than 100% relying upon selling to advertisers whom are trying to reach it's users."
If you can convince your customer to join your We Chat group, it is them literally handing their private cell phone number and can be leveraged for highly targeted and useful platform for marketing and CRM. We Chat has simply become the dominant peer to peer Social Media platform of choice, plus TenCent has plans to expand into wearable technology and services globally."
Very popular. Almost 1/5 people on earth now have We Chat installed on their mobile phone. Thanks to it's ability to handle multiple languages (currently 15) We Chat is also fast gaining popularity outside of China. As of late 2015 it now has 800 million users and growing. A handy function is that it can translate written posts/messages (albeit the Chinese-English "still needs some work). We Chat is also fast gaining popularity inside and outside of China. An unverified estimate is that We Chat now has 200 million users out side of China and it has big plans for further global growth.

What is We Xin or We Chat?
Owned by TenCent, We Chat has become the most popular mobile Social Media platform in China. It started as an internet based communication and social media platform (similar to Twitter) and today now has added online transactions and many further functionalities. Because the platform is so popular today having an offical We Chat account it has become a "must have" for any brand wanting to engage and sell to Chinese consumers.
A key creator of We Chat Mr. Allen Zheng (Zhang Xiaolong) has been quoted in 2012 as saying; "not only can We Chat connect people but also internet connected machines. Every We Chat machine will have a QR code as its (unique) ID and be controlled via We Chat."
This may sound far fetched dream but already in mid- 2014 Wechat began to offer mobile wallet and P2P transaction functionalities enabling purchases from consumer's mobile phones and "hong-bao" or financial transactions via Tenpay system. WeXin already has 800+million users in mainland China. Robert Burns of China Sales Co in 2014 said "it's not hard to forsee how the combination of via blue tooth integrated white-goods and home-wifi enabled zones will enable brands to utlise the We Chat platform to integrate their engagements throughout a persons daily life. Rather than waste time and resources trying to develop their own back-end Tencent is offering their own as "open-source with a catch."
What types of accounts does We Chat offer?
Personal accounts: Users can talk on phone, SMS, share moments/links/pictures on your personal blog with groups/friends or public.

What is the difference between We Xin and We Chat accounts?"
We Chat has a few types of accounts according to your location (inside or outside of mainland China), verification level and upgrades. It is important to note that WeXin (China user) accounts can-not subscribe to foreign We Chat accounts. This means that foreign registered accounts can-not be subscribed to by users inside mainland China.
Robert Burns founder and Sales Director says: "The easiest way to describe it is
"We Xin is the platform for "inside China," and We Chat is the platform "OA We Chat" overseas account for "outside of China." The key difference is WHERE (to whom) the actual account is registered, and WHO (the audience) are that you want to target, that is who are able to view and subscribe to the account. Keep in mind that We Xin users cannot subscribe to OA We Chat accounts which makes marketing from overseas to mainland Chinese difficult. This is why we advise all those wanting to market and sell to mainland Chinese then the only choice is a We Xin (verified China) Serviced or Subscriber account."
